Dad arrived in Pittsburgh on time, and we left for LA. Dad left his house at 4:30am EST and I left mine around 7:00am EST. We arrived at LAX a little early, and had about 9 hours or more to kill untl our 9:00pm PST boarding time. Watched the Super Bowl at the Cheers bar where we occupied a table for around 5 hours. Got on the plane and realized I'd lost my CDs, but they were copies I'd made, so no big loss.

Taking vacations to alternate realities is a great way to ensure you feel like you're on vacation. Just watching the Super Bowl in LAX was enough to make me feel like we were slipping into a parallel dimension, which seems to be a recurring theme on the trip.
