Drove. Made our way through Masterton, which at the time of writing, I think is where Peter Jackson's new (mega-)estate is located, and came to Napier. Found a motel for two nights which is about 2 minutes of a walk to a beach, which was more or less why we picked the location (including town). Scanned a few photos for people to see back home until such time as I get to do them "for real" back home. After dinner of Steak and Guinness pie (very tasty, but a bit much for summer), took a half hour walk on the beach just after sunset, and was almost entirely alone on the whole of the beach. |
Couldn't get my other finished rolls developed yet, which is too bad, I'm eagar to do them. Also no luck on the golden kiwis, or other exciting fruits beyond apricots. Today's been pretty hot, in the 80s, and is the first time I've felt way too hot in jeans (though I've worn shorts the past few days mostly). Totally clear skies and a stiff breeze to make it feel alright. Most summer-like day we've had so far. |
