Made our way a bit closer to Auckland and are staying in Thames, just barely on the Cordomandel Peninsula. Before leaving The Mount, I took a hike up to the top of it, which was a great view of the land below! On our way out we passed a guy going up the trail, asked us where we were from, then prophesized a nuclear way in September, and a number of very detailed signs that would lead up to it, all told by Nostradomus. As any other New Zealander, he was polite about it, said what he had to say, and said goodbye. Fascinating... and I won't forget the first 'sign', and if I really see it happen, I just might believe the rest...

The hike wasn't too bad, but next time I'll consider NOT doing it immediately after breakfast!
