Rolled out of bed, slowly, and got ready to depart New Zealand this morning. Had breakfast, then cancelled my iHug account. After getting the rental car dropped and onto the plane, we are on our way back to the US. As I type, we are passing southeast of Hilo at about 977km/h, having croseed back over the date line and the equator.

The return trip is about 10 hours or so shorter due to a few things, including one less flight (the Wellington leg), and a somewhat shorter layover in LAX (though still a number of hours). Note that we departed Aukland at 4:30pm on Monday the 23rd, crossed the dateline back into the 22nd, and will land in LAX before we even departed!
